GOOD MORNING

GOOD MORNING
Definitely words to live by!!!!

The Four looks of life

Look back and Get Experience

Look Forward and See Hope

Look around & See Reality

Look within & feel confident

HAVE A GREAT DAY

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight, and
and height.  Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay
     'them'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening,
whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's
     workshop.'

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person,
who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are
     alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets,
keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your
     refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable,
improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9.   Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next
county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every
opportunity.  AND ALWAYS REMEMBER : Life is not measured
by the number of breaths we take, but   by the moments that take
     our breath away.

send this to - who cares?
But do share this with someone who is YOURS.
We all need to live life to its fullest each day!!

Worry about nothing, pray about everything!!!

Hanuman Jayanti=2012=6 th APRIL

Hanuman Jayanti=2012=6 th APRIL

Hanuman Jayanti

Introduction
HanumanJayanti is a hindu festival celebrated all over India to commemorate the birth of Lord Hanuman. He was born to (Wind-God) Kesari and Anjani. According to legends he was born as a monkey god to serve Parmatama Lord Ram.
A Brief Background

Hanumanji was given birth after a number of divine events. Anjani performed penance and Lord Shiva was pleased, so blessed her.He was granted a son after Vayu, the Wing God also blessed him.

Lord Hanuman was born on the chaitra Shukla Purnima(Full moon day on the Hindu Calendar Month of Chaitra). Also called by the names, Maruti, Pavanputra, Bajrangbali and Mahavira.
Specialities of Hanuman
In most Hanuman mandirs, Lord Hanuman is worshiped either along with Lord Ram or seperately in temples. Also known as an avatara of Lord Rama, he is considered the God of power (Maruti). He was a brahmachari or celebate. Hanuman became a legend mainly for his unflinching devotion and loyalty for Paramatma Lord Ram.

He was an ideal karma yogi for his fearless, selfless service, humility and devotion for Lord Ram.Lord Hanuman is the only deity that cannot be troubled by negative energies.
Celebration

Priests bathe the idol of Hanuman and smear it with oil and sindoor. Special prayers are held and Hanuman Chalisa is also recited by his devotees. This festival is more important among brahmacharis, body builders and wrestlers. Spiritual discourses are held on this day from dawn and prasads are distributed only after sunset. Saturday and Tuesday are considered as auspicious days to worship Lord Hanuman.Hanumanji is considered as a symbol of strength and energy. Lord Ram is rememberedand prayed on this day.
What is hanuman”s original name?
Scholars argue that immediately after the birth of Hanuman his mother Anjana named him Sunder(handsome boy) as he was extremely charming owing to the Divine Power imbibed in him. In support of this supposition a number or scholars say that the fifth chapter of the Ramcharitmanas which abounds in great and glorious deeds of Hanuman has been entitled as Sunder Kand (so also in Valmiki  Ramayana).

Good Friday History, Information

Good Friday Definition and Summary

Basic Facts About Good Friday

Introduction

Good Friday, the Friday within Holy Week, is traditionally a time of fasting and penance, commemorating the anniversary of Christ’s crucifixion and death. The evening (at sunset) of Good Friday begins the second day of the Triduum. Good Friday worship services begin in the afternoon at 3:00 (the time Jesus likely died). Various traditions and customs are associated with the Western celebration of Good Friday. The singing (or preaching) of the Passion of St. John’s gospel consists of reading or singing parts of John’s gospel. The Veneration of the Cross is also common, where Christians approach a wooden cross and venerate it. In addition to these traditions, Holy Communion with the reserved host is practiced. In the modern Latin Rite of the Catholic Church, no Masses are said on Good Friday or Holy Saturday therefore the reser ved host from the Holy Maunday Mass is used. This is called the “Mass of the Pre-Sanctified.” Another service started by the Jesuit Alphonso Messia in 1732, now less common, the Tre Ore or “Three Hours,” is often held from noon until 3:00PM, and consists of seven sermons on the seven last words of Christ. This service has been popular in many Protestant churches. Good Friday, along with Ash Wednesday, is an official fast day of the Catholic Church.

The Eastern Churches have different customs for the day they call “the Great Friday.” The Orthodox Church begins the day with Matins (Morning Prayer), where the “Twelve Gospels” is chanted, which consists of 12 passages drawn from the Passion narratives. In the morning, the “Little Hours” follow one after the other, consisting of Gospel, Epistle, and Prophet readings. Vespers (Evening Prayer) ends with a solemn veneration of theepitaphion, an embroidered veil containing scenes of Christ’s burial. Compline (Night Prayer) includes a lamentation placed on the Virgin Mary’s lips. On Good Friday night, a symbolic burial of Christ is performed. Traditionally, Chaldean and Syrian Christians cease using their customary Shlama greeting (”peace be with you”) on Good Friday and Holy Saturday, because Judas greeted Christ this way. They use the phrase “The light of God be with your departed ones” instead. In Russia, the tradition is to bring out a silver coffin, bearing a cross, and surrounded with candles and flowers. The faithful creep on their knees and kiss and venerate the image of Christ’s body painted on the “winding sheet” (shroud).
