10 signs of cancer you should know.



New symptoms means that something has changed in your body, and you want to know what that means. Our bodies are always changing, which is normal, but sometimes changes that seem normal can be signs of cancer.
Bear in mind that if you have the symptoms below do not directly mean that you are ill or have a cancer. – But always seek professional help if you symptoms are consistant and persistent.
1. Swollen Bumps, Lymph nodes
Nodes are small glands under the skin, generally in the shape of an almond. Most changes in them occur from normal infections. But some types of cancers, (Commonly leukemia and lymphoma), can make the lymph nodes swell.
If you have lumps or swelling under your skin anywhere in your body for more than 4 weeks, please visit your doctor.
2. Constant Tiredness
Healthy cells are in a battle with cancer cells this results in high amounts of oxygen & energy consumption, and thus making you feel very tired. Remember we are not talking about normal tiredness which goes with rest and sleep. The fatigue from a cancer is persistent and consistant.

3. Changes in the Bowel Functions
Having blood in the stool could be a sign of rectal or colon cancer. Diarrhea, Long-term constipation, and changes in the size of the stool may be signs of colon cancer. These symptoms should be taken seriously as color & rectal cancer are very common.
4. Severe Weight Loss 
About half of cancer patients reported unexplained weight loss. Some types of cancer cause alerted cellular metabolism, which makes you “hypermetabolic”, and thus losing weight without trying.
5. Permanent headaches 
Patients with brain cancer can notice the difference between regular headaches and cancer caused headaches, as brain tumors perpetuates pressure on the brain plates which results in a constant / permanent headaches. Also, brain tumors can cause seizures, vomiting, or loss of vision depending on the tumor and pressure location.
6. Lingering cough
Coughing causes could be ashtma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema. But a lingering cough that won’t go away at all it can be a sign of lung cancer.
Tobacco smoke causes 8 out of 10 diagnosis, so if you are smoker you are more endangered than non-smokers.
  
7. – Indigestion troubles
All of us suffer from time to time from heartburn, flatulence, nausea and indigestion troubles which is normal. But indigestion can also be a sign of a oesophagus  or stomach cancer.
If indigestion won’t go away, you should seek medical help.
8. Unusual bleeding
Coughing up blood could be a sign of Mesothelioma, Asbestos, or Lung cancer. Having bloody stool could be a sign of colon or rectal cancer. Bloody urine may be a sign of kidney or bladder cancer. Cervix cancer can cause abnormal vaginal bleeding. A bloody discharge from the nipple may be a sign of breast cancer. Unusual bleeding can happen in both early or advanced cancer, so please visit your doctor if you have it.
9. Painful urination – changes in Bladder Function
If you have blood in your urine or if you feel pain when urinating can be symptoms for bladder or prostate cancer, these are very serious syptoms, so visit your doctor immediately if you got one of them.
10. Skin changes
Moles and warts should be observed regularly.. changes in their size, or if hair is starting to grow on them, can be a sign of skin cancer – melanomas. if you got this, check your doctor as soon as possible as the success rate is very high when treated early.
